The first night Kyle spent at home was very exciting and nerve-wracking all at once. Elsie, Bill and I read all of the discharge papers, prescription labels and the nurse's medication schedule for Kyle and were still a bit unsure of the entire thing before going to sleep. We wrote up a schedule for Kyle's medicine, labeled the meds and tried to make sure he was comfortable.
I left Pittsburgh the following morning at 6am. Elsie and Kathryn, Kyle's sister, shared some photos with me during this first week as I stayed in Charleston to catch up with my life and work in the studio.
