Wheeling Around the Hospital

During Kyle's last weekend at NNMC he was ready to get out of his room and wheel around the hospital.  He was no longer plugged into any machines or IV's and getting around in the wheelchair was much easier for him.  We all enjoyed lunch together at the Subway in the hospital - Kyle had a meatball sub and insisted on treating everyone.  It was a bit too hot and muggy to enjoy much fresh air but just being out of Kyle's room was good for everyone.

Kyle patiently waiting with his mom, Elsie, down the hallway on the fifth floor - I was the hold-up.

Headed toward Subway to get some sandwiches - Bill was taking a small detour as we passed by the main emergency entrance and escalators.

Stopping to check out the chain of command posted in the main lobby area of the hospital.  Bill was pointing out one of the top Naval Personnel who Kyle had met earlier during his stay in the NNMC.

Bill, Elsie and Kyle outside in the muggy weather - just long enough to make a quick lap on the path and pose for a photo.
